NANOWRIMO Fanfiction and Fanart Contest

November is National Novel Writing Month, or NANOWRIMO for short! Fanfiction is a recent, but much loved medium, which consists of stories written using copyrighted characters and worlds, mixed with original characters and ideas. Express your fandom and submit your best fanfiction of 3,000 words or less. Fanart, art primarily consisting of copyrighted characters with your own original spin, will also be accepted. All entries due at the Choctaw Library, by November 30th.

Tai Chi for Beginners

The movements of the Chinese martial art Tai Chi can increase balance and flexibility, as well as reduce the risk of falling. This free twelve week class teaches participants ways to improve the health of their mind, body, and spirit through a series of slow, continuous movements. It does not matter how strong or flexible you are, as Tai Chi is designed for people at all levels of health.

With more than 6,000 clubs serving over 80,000 kids, it may already be America’s biggest math club for elementary kids This is program has 8 sessions that build on each other, and is designed for kids in grades K-2nd.

This is a recurring club event and takes place for 8 Tuesdays.

Crazy 8s math club for grades 3-5 will take place on Fridays.

Limited extra yoga mats will be available for those who do not have one but still want to try something new!
