Reading for just 20 minutes a day is guaranteed to improve your reading skills.  Rocket Readers is a reading program for children with games, incentives and one-on-one reading time with volunteers.  Children will read with volunteers for 30 minutes at 5:30pm, 6:00pm or 6:30pm.  We can help your reading score soar!  Word games and all reading materials provided or you can bring your own. 

This is a recurring event and takes place on Mondays.

Sugar Free Allstars: Time to Get Funky
Get ready to pack the dance floor because this Grammy-featured, family funky super duo from OKC has been in Time magazine's top 12 family music acts in America is coming! Save up your energy and join us at your library to see how they build their wonderful world of music by blending elements of soul, rhythm & blues, disco, gospel, and New Orleans street parade music. This will be a high-energy, rock show, dance party experience that can only be described as a funky, foot-stompin', hand-clappin', body movin' and groovin' dance-until-you-drop party for all ages! Admission by free ticket. Tickets will be handed out starting one hour before the program.

Join other teens who love to read as we try out different genres and themes of YA books each month!  Make new friends and discover your next favorite book at the Bethany Library.  This new teen book club will take place on the 3rd Thursday of each month and will not require everyone to read the same book.  You can read any book you want that fits the theme of the month!  The genre for June is nonfiction.  Did I mention we will have snacks?
